I can’t believe I walked where the “ancients” walked, presented for a distinguished group of International and National Geographic Educators and then had the opportunity to stand on hallowed ground from the Korean War era – dedicate a ribbon in honors of a US Veteran, meet a South Korean Veteran (who thanked “ME”) and then stood in North Korea for a few minutes at the DMZ. I have never experienced such emotion in one day! On top of that – the cuisine was magnificent!

I teach AP Human Geography, World HistoryI-Honors at Cosby HS in Midlothian, Va. with Chesterfield Co. Public Schools System. I also teach Medical Law & Ethics as an elective class for our Governor's Specialty School for Health Sciences at Cosby. I have been teaching for almost 40, love history and love to travel. I have taken my students to almost all presidential inaugurations since 1980, traveled overseas to places of historical significance and travel throughout the United States. I believe that history is a part of life! Everything we do is history! We live it and learn from it! If we don't learn about our past, we will have a tremendous impact on our future! We should always be proud of our culture, our school & community, our country and the betterment of our world - THIS is imperative to our survival!! View all posts by acanipe
